The Windy City: Chicago

Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States and a vibrant cultural, financial, and architectural hub. Known for its stunning skyline, deep-rooted history, and diverse neighborhoods, Chicago offers a little something for everyone. The city is famous for its iconic landmarks like the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), the John Hancock Center, and Navy Pier, as well as its rich arts and music scene, which includes the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The Second City comedy troupe, and a thriving jazz and blues culture.

Chicago is also a food lover’s paradise, with specialties like deep-dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs, and a burgeoning restaurant scene. The city is home to several museums, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Field Museum, and Museum of Science and Industry, as well as vast parks like Millennium Park and the Lincoln Park Zoo. Whether you’re into sports (Chicago is home to teams like the Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks) or exploring the city’s eclectic neighborhoods, Chicago is a dynamic destination full of energy and excitement.

How to Get There:

Chicago’s main airport, O’Hare International Airport (ORD), is a major hub with flights from all over the world. The city is also easily accessible by train, bus, or car. To get from ORD to the city, you can take the Blue Line, which is right at the airport. The cost is $5 and will take you right to the city.
